The Immunisation Register is the national register where vaccines are recorded.
When you arrive in Australia, your children’s immunisations can be transferred to the Australian system from their health book or evidence of their immunisation history at your first doctor’s appointment. Australia has a different schedule of vaccines to other countries, so you may be offered a catch up programme.
Your child must meet immunisation requirements to receive Family Tax Benefit (FTB) Part A (there is a wait period to receive this benefit when you arrive in Australia) or child care fee assistance.
